Religious Education

Register for Religious Education, Grades 1 - 8  
You may contact the office for the required forms at 424-0499 or you may go on line to re1igioseducationmc.com and look under documents for the Registration Form and Liability Waiver Form. The Archdiocese requires students attend RE the year prior to receiving the sacraments. In 2nd grade students receive First Eucharist First Reconciliation. In 9th grade students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

A Catechist Meeting will be held September 8 from 6:30 to 8:00pm at Newman High School Chapel.

A Catechist In-Service will be held September 15 at Holy Family Church Basement. The In-service will start with a hot meal at 5:45 and will include from 6:30 - 8:30 guest speaker Brian SingerTowns.

September 22 from 6:30 -8:00pm Religious Education Open House at Newman School. Families and students are welcome to come visit their classroom and meet their Catechist!

September 29 from 6:30-8:00pm Religious Education Classes begin with a "Teaching Mass" led by Fr. Michael Schueller and held at Holy Family Church. This is a Family Event with an ice cream social following Mass.

AXIS Middle School Youth Group and all middle school students grades 6-8 are welcome to attend the Middle School Dance held at the KC Hall 551 South Taft Avenue on September 19 from 6-8pm. The cost is $3 and covers beverage and a snack. Each additional beverage is 50 cents.

Catholic In Common High School Youth Ministry Group grades 9-12 are welcome to attend an Open House at the Youth Center located in the basement of the St. Joseph Parish Center on September 18 from 6-8pm. Come and meet Tom Centarri the new Youth Minister and talk about your plans for the upcoming year.
