Our past at Holy Family includes many memories:
Lehigh Chapel,
Holy Family school,
Monsignor Murphy,
Mass in Latin, and benediciton;
Pope John XXIII,
Vatican II,
Team minstry,
Lay formation and renewal of the ministry of Deacons;
The generous service of the Sisters of Charity, Dubuque,
the Sisters of the Presentation, Dubuque,
and the Dominicans of Sinsinawa;
Newman Knights,
Fall Festivals,
the school we helped build in Haiti,
Fr. Gehling's A to Z dinners,
Bunny ears and Reindeer Antlers,
and of course....Sausage.
In the next 100 years, God will gift us with more memories. They will be good ones, if not always easy ones, if we are open to being surprised and led by the Holy Spirit.
May the good Lord bless Holy Family Parish. As we continue to be part of the vibrant Catholic community of Mason City 100 years from now.
